I am a professional translator, and my main fields of expertise are Life Sciences, IT, Gaming and Consumer Electronics, in English/French and Italian to Greek. I have more than 18 years of professional experience and upwards of 27 million words under my belt. For the past 15 years, I have been the Lead Linguist, for Greek, for various major companies, including large medical corporations, and a Head Reviewer for several major accounts. There isn't a CAT tool that I don't know how to use and I'm always open to learning new ones. I hold a BsC in Translation from the Ionian University, and various other diplomas ranging widely from Project Management, to IT, to First Aid. As a (self-proclaimed) natural born project manager, my favorite pastime is to research online on various ways to solve current and potential problems and researching advances in the fields of translation and project management. I love reading paranormal romance and mystery novels, medical journals and technology reviews for practice, and I do Pilates to work out the kinks from sitting on a chair for too long. I volunteer for the Red Cross and other organizations whenever possible, and I a firm believer that if we all work together, we can make a great difference in this world, combining our professional and our personal strengths. Last, but not least, I have the honor of being the elected Secretary of the Panhellenic Association of Professional Translators Graduates of the Ionian University (PEEMPIP) for several years now, and I'm also a Mentor in the Mentoring Program of PEEMPIP, helping new translators and learning new things along the way. Oh, and my friends say I'm a Ninja-Translator. Go figure :)
