Full members
Translation graduates from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University or holders of another recognised university degree who wish to become full members and meet the criteria can fill in the relevant application. The application should then be sent electronically to info@peempip.gr, according to the registration instructions, along with the rest of the supporting documents.
Once the registration procedure has been completed, new full members will receive their registration number and a guide to preparing their professional stamp in four languages (Greek, English, French and German), so that the translations are certified in a uniform manner. They will also receive a new member welcome pack.
The Administrative Board will approve the application within one month from its submission. In case of rejection of the application by the Board, which must be justified, the applicant is allowed to appeal to the General Assembly of the Association.
Supporting documents

Applicant’s formal declaration of acceptance of the terms of the Association’s Articles of Association and the Code of Conduct.

Copy of the degree from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University in the specialisation of Translation (or of an equivalent degree issued by another university and a certificate of equivalency and recognition of that qualification in Translation from the competent authority).

Any other university qualification and other languages the applicant may know, along with the respective qualifications and certificates of study.

Proof of professional activity.
Proof of professional activity means one of the following:

A certificate from the competent Financial Authority of the place where the applicant engages in the profession of translator, in the case he/she works as self-employed translator, verifying that he/she legally practises the profession of translator and/or related translation professions.

A copy of a payroll receipt or other document provided by the employer, certifying that the applicant is paid for his/her services by proof of expenditure or otherwise.

A copy of his/her employment contract proving that he/she is professionally engaged in translation, the associated professional activities and other related tasks, and in the provision of such services to natural or legal persons in the private, public and wider public sector.

Associate members
Translation students and graduate translators of the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University, or holders of an equivalent and recognised translation degree issued by another university, who do not work as self-employed translators, work in other fields or otherwise can become associate members by filling in the relevant application. The application should then be sent electronically to info@peempip.gr, completed according to the registration instructions and accompanied by the necessary supporting documents.
Once the registration procedure has been completed, new associate members will receive their registration number and a welcome pack.
If the status of the associate member changes and he/she wishes to become a full member of PEEMPIP, he/she should submit the relevant application and the new supporting documents.

For students only: A certificate of studies or of completion of studies from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University in the specialisation of Translation (or an equivalent certificate of studies/completion of studies from another university)
